Preschool Staff

Melissa Colett Melissa has been teaching at Create-A-World Preschool since 2021. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Chemisty Business from UW Eau Claire and her Early Childhood Education Degree from CVTC. In addition to teaching at Create-A-World, Melissa is the Education Director at Saving Grace Lutheran Church.

Jennifer Larson Jennifer has been teaching at Create-A-World Preschool since 2019.  She attended CVTC and received her Wisconsin Registry license to teach Early Childhood I & II through Work and Family Consulting.  Jennifer worked retail for 21 years before she started teaching preschool.  She also worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters for 6 years, She has taught Sunday School since 1992 and is currently a girl scout leader for her daughters girl scout troop. 

Katy LoRusso

Katy received her bachelors degree in early childhood education with a kindergarten endorsement from Butler University in Indianapolis. She has also taken classes towards a masters degree in special education and worked as a special education aide in an elementary school.

She taught four years as a kindergarten teacher, then stayed home to raise her three children. After moving to Eau Claire in 2006, she enrolled her youngest in Create-A-World Preschool. In 2008, she taught the afternoon class, and in 2009 she became the director of the preschool.
